Davidson County Community College is holding an Open House on Saturday  from 8:30am to 2pm on the Davidson Campus. A FREE prom shopping day for teen girls is planned for Saturday (MAR 31)    “Love, Suzanne” an organization in Thomasville has been collecting gently used prom dresses and accessories for area teen girls who might not be able to go to their junior/senior prom because they can’t afford a new dress. Pre-register at www.love-suzanne.org

A BIG Vietnam Veterans Homecoming at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord this Saturday.   The FREE event will honor all U.S. Vets (with a focus on Vietnam veterans) and is open to the public.   Here’s a schedule for Saturday: www.charlottemotorspeedway.com

After an outcry from parents (and kids), Chocolate milk will remain on the menu at Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools.  There was a general feeling that if chocolate milk wasn’t an option, students might stop drinking milk altogether.  According to the Winston-Salem Journal, about 76% of the milk sold in the school system is chocolate milk.   http://myfox8.com/2012/03/30/chocolate-milk-to-stay-in-forsyth-co-schools/
